Do I need an RCMP fingerprint check for Express Entry?
You need an RCMP fingerprint check for Express Entry only if IRCC asks for one. When IRCC sends that request, treat it as time-sensitive because the deadline in your account is the deadline you need to work around.
Is RCMP clearance required for EE if I already submitted my Indian PCC?
An Indian PCC does not replace an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check. If IRCC asks for RCMP clearance separately, you still need to complete that fingerprint-based request even if your Indian PCC is already uploaded.
I have an Express Entry deadline — can RCMP fingerprinting be done urgently?
The fingerprint appointment can usually be arranged quickly, and PCC Police Check can help with same-day or priority scheduling where possible. RCMP processing itself cannot be guaranteed by any agency, so the safest move is to book as soon as the request appears.
What happens if my RCMP or FBI PCC doesn't arrive before my IRCC deadline?
You should contact IRCC before the deadline and explain the delay with proof that you have already started the process. Keep your appointment proof, courier details, submission confirmation, and any DCN or reference number ready.
Can I upload my RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check directly to my IRCC account?
You can upload it if IRCC has opened the correct document slot in your account. If you do not see an upload option, use the IRCC webform or follow the instruction in your account rather than placing the certificate in an unrelated field.
Do I need an FBI PCC if I only visited the US on a short trip?
A brief US visit usually does not trigger an FBI PCC requirement, but the final rule depends on the authority reviewing your Express Entry file. If you lived in the US for a longer period, confirm whether an FBI Identity History Summary Check is required.
